How to Sell a Non-Working 1977 Camaro

    • 1). Determine the reason the 1977 Camaro has stopped running. You may be able to diagnose it yourself, or have a licensed mechanic look at the car. This information may come in handy for a potential buyer who might want to fix the problem.

    • 2). Visit your local car junkyard to see how if it would purchase the Camaro. Most junkyards purchase non-working and damaged autos to resell parts, but normally do not offer much in payment.

    • 3). Place ads online or in the local paper for the Camaro or sell car parts from the vehicle. Look for car trading magazines that specialize in older muscle cars. Placing ads for the Camaro or its parts in special magazines may garner more interest. Look at eBay to auction off car parts or the entire vehicle. Although selling parts may take longer, you may make more money than selling it as a non-working vehicle.

    • 4). Search for buyers online. Some people place ads looking for car parts as they restore older vehicles. Write a phrase in a search engine such as "used 1977 Camaro car parts for sale" and see if any results pop up. Look at online car forums, which may include a section where you can list your car or car parts for sale.

    • 5). Make flyers with your printer or at the printing store. List all specific information for the Camero and include a picture. Place the flyers on bulletin boards at local businesses and at your place of work.
