- 1). Look through your newspapers, sales ads, coupon books, etc. and clip every coupon you find — even if you know you aren't going to use them.
- 2). Clear your workspace.
- 3). Sort through the clipped coupons, placing coupons you aren't going to use in a separate pile from those you plan to use.
- 4). Separate the coupons you know you'll use into categories, such as restaurant, meat, frozen food, produce, cereal, baked goods, etc.
- 5). Create a folder for each category and arrange the contents for each in alphabetical order. Alternatively, purchase an expanding file or a card file box made especially for keeping track of coupons.
- 6). Pass along to friends, family members or other shoppers at the stores you visit any coupons for which you have no use.
