  Because the weather in Florida is warm year-round, Florida is ideal for outdoor entertaining. Regardless of whether you're hosting a party for a five-year-old of a 50 year-old, take advantage of Florida's weather by bringing the party out into your yard, local park or nearby beach.
  
  

Waterside Party

• If you own a pool, plan a backyard pool bask; if not, head for the nearest shore. While Florida's warm weather allows you to entertain outdoors year-round, it can also get pretty hot out there, so a party where attendees can cool off in the water and splash around for fun will be a big hit. Serve traditional picnic fare if at the beach, or break out the grill if hosting the party in your backyard. Decorate with plastic, pink flamingos or any decor that's as bright and sunny as the Florida weather. • The state of Florida has a variety of with city, county and state parks. Take the birthday person and his guests on a special trip to a fun destination, such as a theme park, water park, ranch or petting farm, zoo or aquarium. While in most parts of the country, these are only options for people with birthdays in the summer months, in Florida it's possible year-round. An on-the-road party means that you don't have to do any decorating, and food is purchased and not made, so this party is an easy choice. Book your outing in advance and plan for appropriate transportation for everyone.
