- 1). Place the nylon pry bar between the dash trim bezel around the upper radio module and the dashboard and pull it back to pull the bezel off of the dashboard. Unbolt the factory radio module from the dashboard using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket, then install the radio replacement pocket into the void in the dash using the same fasteners. Push the dash trim bezel back onto the dashboard.
- 2). Set the nylon pry bar between the wood grain trim around the cassette deck below the dash vents and the dashboard and pull it back to pop off the trim. Remove the old cassette deck from the dash using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket set, then unplug the wiring harness from the backside. Set the vehicle-specific dash kit into the cassette deck mounts and bolt it in place using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Push the wood bezel back onto the dashboard.
- 3). Use the wire strippers to remove 1/4-inch of wire shielding off the ends of the vehicle-specific wiring harness and the harness that comes with the aftermarket stereo. Crimp each corresponding color on the two harnesses together using the blue butt connectors and the wire crimpers.
- 4). Plug one end of the harness you made in Step 3 into the harness that you disconnected from the cassette deck in Step 2. Install the cage that comes with the new stereo into the vehicle-specific dash kit using the flathead screwdriver. Plug the other end of the harness into the back of the new stereo. Push the stereo into the cage until you can hear two audible clicking sounds indicating the stereo is in place.
