- 1). Find the image you want to use on your cutouts. Visit free image websites, use digital photographs or draw your own image.
- 2). Scan the image into your computer if necessary. Open it up in your photo editing software. If you don't have an editing program, download a free version online.
- 3). Find the picture resizing tool on your software. It is usually listed under the heading "tools" or "picture" on the navigation bar. Resize the image to your desired size.
- 4). Load cardstock in your desired color into your printer. Print out as many images as you need.
- 5). Cut out the images with regular scissors or decorative edge scrapbooking scissor. Punch a hole in the top for hanging or attaching a ribbon if necessary.
