Make Your Backyard a Birdhouse Sanctuary

I do not know of anything more enjoyable or relaxing than watching the birds of your region come and visit your birdhouses daily, almost like clockwork.
Watching as they lay their eggs and watching their young one by one hatch from the shell that their mother, or father for that matter, protected and nurtured during their formation.
As you watch the cycle of life before your eyes, you see the parent bird gather food and bring it back to the birdhouses feeding their young until they are ready to leave the nest.
What is even more rewarding is seeing the young return again to their birth spot.
It is also exciting to see the same colorful birds migrate back to your back yard year after year every spring.
Your yard has become their safe haven, and in return, you reap the benefits of the beauty and the excellent insect control.
After a long and rugged flight, they can count on you to have a perfect home for them to rest their weary feathers to gain the energy to start their mating rituals and nest building to settle in for a wonderful spring.
It is easy to get a loyal following of gorgeous and song filled birds to your back yard with birdhouses and food suited for their individual needs.
Compliment your birdhouses with birdbaths and bird feeders to finish off the perfect habitat for your fine feathered friends.
By having a few different feeders providing a variety of favorites for particular birds along with safe and stable housing in bird houses, not only will you attracts birds to your backyard, but a wide variety of birds which increases your bird watching moments that much more.
Having bird feeders that are stocked with wild bird food, suet products, and with bird syrup will keep your birds coming back year after year.
Every morning you can wake to a yard full of various birds, with various melodies, colors, and in different stages in life.
You can watch as the mothers feed their young while others are setting up house in your Birdhouses, some that are feeding while others are taking a morning dip in the shallows of your birdbaths.
At the end of the season after you know all of the birds have left to settle in the south for the cold winter, you can give the birdhouses a good cleaning, make any necessary repairs so come next spring, before their arrival back to your yard and birdhouses, preparation for your fine feather friends only takes minutes.
The birds you draw today will become a part of your family, they will count on your kind hospitality to give them a welcome home year after year, including their young, and their young's young as well.
Know this, if you were to move and their welcome home was no longer available when they return after a long winter's trip, they will truly miss you and seek shelter elsewhere in where the welcome mat has been laid.
Your simple birdhouse, in reality, is an important part in a bird's cycle of life, what a wonder contribution you can make to our fine feathered friends.
