Tip #1 Check out wholesale or retail stores that carry these types of beads.
As Mardi Gras gains popularity as a reason to celebrate in places other than New Orleans, more and more retail and wholesale party supply stores are carrying these trinkets.
Of course, you are more likely to hit the mother lode if you live near New Orleans, where there are entire stores that carry only beads and trinkets for this holiday.
Tip #2 Check out garage sales.
This sneaky tactic probably works best in areas where Carnival parades are common, but then again people from all over travel to New Orleans for Fat Tuesday.
Tip #3 This is the easiest for anyone - buy them online.
Now it does not matter if you are in another country or even right off the route of a major Fat Tuesday parade - you can get your beads day or night and anytime of the year.
Depending on your location, it may not be that easy to buy Mardi Gras beads - or at least to find a great selection.
Outside of New Orleans it can be a crapshoot to find beads.
However, the Internet can provide you with a never ending supply of Carnival beads.
Your only job will be to figure out which ones you like the best!
