- Fordham offers a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, permitting students to choose a concentration in one specific area of business while also taking electives in another area outside of their concentration. The concentration areas available for this degree are marketing, business economics, accounting, finance, information and communications systems, human resource management and management systems. All concentrations require successful completion of four upper-division courses in that area except for human resource management, which requires five courses.
- Business students at Fordham can choose from three types of accounting degrees. Each of the three degrees permit seniors who are interested in taking the certified public accounting examination to apply to the dual degree program, providing the courses needed to meet eligibility requirements to take the exam. The Bachelor of Science in Public Accounting is geared toward students who are interested in public accounting and the financial marketplace. The Bachelor's of Applied Accounting and Finance is intended for students who want a career that comprises both accounting, which is considered the language of business, and finance. This degree is suitable for students who want to be prepared to analyze and forecast business information and trends. The Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Information Systems educates students on the language of business and information technology. This program prepares students for a career that combines accounting with the effective use of computer technology and information systems.
- The Bachelor of Science in Marketing is intended for students who want a career working with either for-profit or non-profit organizations. This program is based in the belief that marketing is a driving force in the world economy and, as a result, Fordham encourages marketing students to develop an understanding of several cultures and speak languages in addition to English. Students can design their individual programs to best match their goals, such as developing a career in advertising, research, retail and e-marketing, product management or international marketing. Course options include pricing, promotion and distribution and new product design.
- Students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Finance receive more detailed knowledge and training than the finance concentration in business administration provides. This major is suitable for students planning a career in investment management, corporate finance or working with financial institutions. The investment management track is designed for students who are interested in evaluating securities and managing portfolios. Students in the corporate finance track are typically interested in the financial decisions of for-profit and non-profit organizations and the financial institutions program, which is offered in conjunction with the economics department, prepares students to work with institutions such as insurance companies and commercial banks.
- Fordham offers a Bachelor of Science in the Management of Information and Communications Systems. Courses in this major prepare students to solve business problems using information technology. Students receive a broad understanding of information technology infrastructures and business processes while preparing for careers such as information systems consultant, systems analyst and information systems manager. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, computer and information systems manager is expected to be one of the fastest growing careers through 2011.
