- 1). Wipe up the oven cleaner immediately with a wet paper towel before it stains your linoleum permanently.
- 2). Wet paper towels and rub it over the area to remove the discoloring. Proceed to the next step if it's still there.
- 3). Spray or apply a rust-removing cleaner on the floor and let it soak for approximately 15 minutes, or the length of time recommended on the label.
- 4). Wipe it up with paper towels and rinse the linoleum with a wet towel. If the floor is still discolored or stained, continue on.
- 5). Soak the area with water, using wet towels or paper towels to keep the floor moist. After 15 minutes, wipe the area clean. If the stain remains, repeat Steps 3 to 5.
