Snoring is a sleep disorder which can have serious medical as well as social consequences if left untreated.

Snoring takes place due to some kind of blockage in the air passage.

The intention of the general exercise is to develop fitness and control body weight.

The exercise will tone up your body muscles, including those of the throat and this will help prevent snoring.
Active persons also snore less.
Now we will discuss about some specific exercises which are developed for snoring.
These exercises are quite similar to the exercises done by the singers to tone up and strengthen their throat, neck muscles and tongue.
It has been proven that weak neck and throat muscles and tissues can cause blockage in the airways by narrowing the passage leading to snoring.
So by exercising these areas, the airways can be cleared making you reduce or stop snoring.
These exercises don't take up much time and are quite simple.
Just remember to do it regularly.
Following are some anti snoring exercises which will help you in reducing you snore:
  • Slowly open and close your mouth to its full extent, making sure the lips meet when closing.
  • Pucker your lips (as if about to kiss).
    Hold for a count of 10.
    Relax.
  • Spread your lips into a big, exaggerated smile.
    Hold.
    Relax.
  • Try to pucker with your mouth wide open, without closing your jaws together.
    Hold & relax.
  • Close your lips and press them tightly together.
These are few exercises you can do to overcome snoring.
People have even reported that the stop snoring exercise program have not only helped them in stopping snoring but also increased their energy level as they are able to breathe more easily.
