- 1). Mow the lawn three or four days before applying the weed & feed.
- 2). Water the lawn prior to the weed & feed application. You should not water for two days after application, so choose an application day during a week when no rain is in the forecast.
- 3). Calibrate the spreader according to the application rate suggested on the weed & feed bag.
- 4). Add the product to the spreader, at the amount suggested on the label.
- 5). Walk the lawn in strips as you spread the weed & feed. Keep the strips close together and try not to overlap to avoid doubling the application on the strips' seams.
