AVG 8.5 Update: Manual Method

• 1). Go to a website that lets you download new software (see Resources).
  
  
• 2). Click on the "Download" link and click on "Save" to start downloading the file. Save it to your "Downloads" folder for easy access.
  
  
• 3). Open your AVG 8.5 program. Go to "Tools" and "Update From Directory" and then click on the file you just downloaded. Press "OK."
  
  
• 4). Click on "Update Now" to install the updates.
  
  

AVG 8.5 Update: System Tray Method

• 1). Right-click on the AVG 8.5 icon on the lower right-hand corner of your system tray.
  
  
• 2). Select "AVG User Interface."
  
  
• 3). Select "Tools" and "Update from Directory." Click on your AVG 8.5 folder from the list of folders and press "OK." The program will start to download the updates.
