- 1). Separate the bows and ribbons according to size, style and color, as the bride opens her gifts. This small step will help you to organize and create a cohesive bridal bouquet for the bride. Remind the bride to be cautious when opening her gifts, as superstition dictates that she will have a baby for each ribbon she breaks.
- 2). Punch a hole in the center of a heavy-duty paper plate using scissors. Be careful to make the hole large enough for all the ribbons to slide through but not so large that the ribbons will not be secure. You can increase the size of the hole, but you cannot make it smaller.
- 3). Turn the plate upside down and thread each ribbon through the center hole on the plate; ensure that the bows are on the bottom of the plate. For the bouquet, the bottom of the plate will serve as the top of the bouquet. The bows will represent the actual flowers; the ribbons will be bundled together to simulate the bouquet handle.
- 4). Once you have attached all of the ribbons and bows, attach any bows without ribbon directly to the paper plate, using additional tape if necessary. Use the individual bows to fill any open spaces on the bouquet.
- 5). Wrap a few pieces of additional ribbon around all the ribbons you have threaded through the plate and tie a knot. This will create one “handle” for the bride to carry.
