- If after 10 years of marriage you are left feeling as if you would go back and do it all over again, then do it. Have a ceremony to renew the vows you made on your wedding day. If your wedding day was perfect, re-create it and host the ceremony in the same place, with the same attendants and a similar reception. If you've looked back and wished you'd done things differently, now is your chance to incorporate those changes. Whether you want to renew your vows in a pumpkin patch, have a bonfire ceremony on the beach or "elope" to Vegas, you can celebrate 10 years of marriage by finally having the wedding ceremony you truly desire.
- The 10-year anniversary marks a good time for a second honeymoon. Book a vacation to the destination you and your spouse have always dreamed about visiting. Make it a 10-day trip --- one day for each year you've been married. If you have kids, arrange for them to stay with a family member so the two of you can spend your vacation reconnecting with each other.
- The 10th anniversary is considered the "tin" anniversary, according to the Chicago Public Library. Throw a tin-themed anniversary party. Decorate with tinsel and metallic balloons. Use tin lanterns to provide lighting. Give out tins of cookies or small tins of mints as party favors. Place an aluminum garbage can at the party entrance where, instead of gifts, guests can donate tin canned goods or $10 bills for a local soup kitchen or homeless shelter.
- Together with your spouse, create a list of the 10 best dates you've shared. Spend the nine days prior to your anniversary reliving those dates. Start with No. 10 and work your way to the No. 1 date, which you will re-create on your anniversary. Be creative with the dates, as some of the places you've visited may have closed or you have relocated and you will have to come up with close alternatives.
