- 1). Fold a 7-inch-square piece of paper into fourths to make a fortune-teller toy that serves as a candy dish. Unfold the paper and fold them again toward the center. Turn the paper over and fold the corners into the center. Repeat. Lift up the flaps and place candy inside the contraption.
- 2). Make a paper cone to hold flower petals for your wedding favor, or for your guests to use during the recessional. Cut a decorative paper to a 6-inch-by-6-inch size. Roll up in the form of a cone. The fold should be on the front of the cone. Punch two holes in the front of the cone. Clip paper hydrangea flowers from a bunch, but be sure to leave the wire on the bottom. Insert the wire from the flower in through one of the holes and out the other. Wrap the wire around the flower. Trim the edge of the cone with scissors with a decorative edge. Write a meaningful quote on the inside of the cone. Place flower petals inside the cone.
- 3). Cut vellum paper in the shape of an envelope. Fold the flaps appropriately to form an envelope. Place colorful leaves or flowers inside the envelope. Glue ribbon and small silk flowers to the front of the envelope. For a similar project, fold recyclable paper into a small packet. Fill with seeds. Seal the top. Print your names and wedding date on the front, along with instructions for planting the seeds.
- 4). Place a piece of white paper into a pot of tea. Let it sit for a few minutes to stain the paper and give it a weathered appearance. Write a message or quote on the paper with a calligraphy marker. Roll up the paper and tuck inside a small bottle. Place a cork on top of the bottle and tie a decorative ribbon around it.
- 5). Download a fan pattern to make a paper Victorian fan. Print two copies of the pattern on card stock paper and cut out. Glue tissue paper to the card stock. Add decorative embellishments, such as ribbon, lace, antique-looking accents, punch-outs, pictures and doilies. Glue a paint stick in between the two pieces of card stock. Glue the backsides of the paper together with the paint stick between them. Tie a lace or ribbon bow to the front of the fan. Paint your names and wedding date on the bottom of the handle.
- 6). Tie a small ribbon around four miniature flowers. Tape the flowers to a paper bag. Draw the shape of a vase on the back of a piece of decorative paper. Cut it out. Glue the shape over the flowers. Scrawl a message at the top of the bag. Place any desired items in the gift bag and fold the top over.
