- 1). Launch the registry editor from the "Start" menu.
- 2). Navigate to "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Shell."
- 3). Click "Menu," "New," and select "DWORD Value."
- 4). Name the key "HideTitleBattery."
- 5). Enter "1" for the "DWORD" data.
- 6). Click "Menu" and select "Exit." Wait a few minutes, turn the device off, then back on. Some devices may require an additional reset to update the registry properly.
