- 1). Remove the trim screws and trim from the interior of the roof vent.
- 2). Remove the hinge pins and screws from the cover with a pair of flat-nosed pliers and unscrew and remove the crank handle.
- 3). Remove the vent cover, trim screws and trim from the exterior of the camper roof.
- 4). Chisel the silicone caulking from around the vent and trim.
- 5). Remove the vent and cut the wiring to the fan. Strip 1/2-inch from the ends of the electrical wires, and twist the ends of the fan and ceiling wires around each other. Twist wire covers over both ends.
- 6). Place the new vent in the ceiling cavity, secure with mounting screws and apply a layer of silicone caulk around the perimeter.
- 7). Replace the trim and trim screws on the interior and exterior of the vent. Replace the crank handle. Place the cover against the hinges and insert the hinge screws.
