Nathaniel Marston is a 32-year-old performer and actor plays the role of Dr. Michael McBain in the ABC network's television soap opera One Life to Live. He wound up in the care of a hospital after he allegedly attacked three people and got into an altercation with city law enforcement. According to a report from the authorities, Marston assaulted his targets with a metal crate, and was responsible for breaking at least one man's leg during the fracas. The fight was also said to have taken place on a Sunday, early at 4:50 a.m. in the morning, and at 45th St. and 10th Avenue in New York .

One of the victims of the attack was a 46-year-old man named Salvatore Cabbibo. He was relaxing and drinking a cup of coffee when Marston emerged from a taxi and began to argue with the vehicle's driver. What allegedly happened next was that the actor inexplicably charged towards Cabbibo, swinging the crate. In a statement to the New York Daily News, Cabbibo claimed that he didn't know who Marston was, and that the actor was crazed. He added that something like that had never happened to him before on the street. After hitting Cabbibo, the actor ran away to a nearby gas station, nearly getting struck by passing vehicles during his mad dash through 10th Avenue .

The police on the scene stated that Marston seemed to be affected by drug use, most likely cocaine. When the officers began moving in to arrest the actor, he started to flail his arms and kick at them. Marston was brought to the Bellevue center, where he was classified as an emotionally disturbed case. The actor has received an order to appear in a criminal court of New York City next year on February 4, 2008. One of the charges that he faces is one count of assault in the second degree.
