California - 07-18-10 - Sighting occurred in Coalinga - I was traveling south bound on I-5 on my way to southern California and I took to the left over the oncoming lane of traffic, and I saw 3 lights in a triangle shape.
I was interested in that and I look again and I see that it had dipped down to where I couldn't see it. I kept looking over to get a glimpse, I thought I lost it but I kept looking anyway because I kept seeing bits of it through some bushes.
About ten seconds later I saw it again, and it was fairly low to the ground, it looked like it was moving quickly, so it must be have been somewhat close, maybe 50-70 yards away.
The next time it popped up I saw more lights on it. Each corner of the triangle had white lights and there were more along the edge that were turning on and off in a random pattern... some would flicker. It was black that night sky except for the pattern of lights on each edge of the triangle.
The UFO would swoop down now and then, and during those times the lights would get brighter. I finally took the next off ramp (W Kamm Ave), took the overpass and parked. I could still see it, but by that time it looked like a normal plane in the air because of its lights. Source: www.nuforc.org
California - 07-19-10 - My wife Margarett and I were driving Highway 99 Freeway - we merged on to I-80 towards Reno, NV. As I started to merge to the left, I saw out of the corner of my eye to my left a very shiny, silver, cigar-shaped flying craft.
It appeared approximately 100 to 125 ft long: I could not believe my eyes.
I was so surprised to see this object flying across the freeway, at first I thought it was a airplane, but it did not have any wings nor a wing tail. At that time I yelled to my wife who was on my cell phone talking to our account in Elk Grove, CA.
I told her to look up, and I pointed to it. She only saw it for a split second. It was flying too low to be a commercial airliner, and it was too large to be a private jet - it was moving left to right at a very fast rate of speed, but slow enough for me to see it clearly.
It did not appear to have any windows, nor did it have any decals or markings on it.
As soon as it passed over the freeway, it made a very sharp left towards the Reno area, and was gone in less than two seconds. I hope someone else saw this today.
I have never seen anything like this in my life, and I would not make a false claim. I do believe now we are not alone, I'm a God-fearing family man with 3 kids who now think I'm crazy. Source: www.mufon.com
California - 07-24-10 - I was standing in the door way of my apartment facing west at about 10:00 PM. I saw an object moving very quickly across the sky.
It had no lights, and was flying lower than airplanes or helicopters. It made no sound. It looked like it was flying along the coast line moving south to north about 1.5 miles away.
At first I thought it might be a kite or balloon, but when I stepped outside to look closer, it was flying very straight and very fast. My view was then obstructed because of palm trees in my front yard.
As I was walking around them, I saw the object clearly for a few more seconds. It looked like it had wings pointed downward and a short body. I'm sorry to say it, but it resembled something from Star Trek. Source: www.nuforc.org
California - 07-24-10 - My girlfriend and I were camping at Upper OSO campground near the Santa Barbara Ranger Station in the Los Padres National Forest.
That night, we had both commented on how bright the moon was, so that had been on our mind. At approximately 2:00 AM, my girlfriend awoke and noticed that she couldn't see the moon anymore.
While she was taking a few seconds to look for it and realize that the moon had gone out of our view behind a ridge, she also saw an interesting combination of lights in the southeastern sky and woke me up to see it also.
There was one larger bright light in the center with two smaller and equal lights on either side, and two slightly smaller lights on the top and bottom.
The top and bottom lights were on a skewed axis, so all five lights together looked like an off angle cross. All five lights were brighter than any star in the sky.
To each side (horizontally), there were slightly expanding (like cones on each side) rays glowing outward. The lights appeared static, at least for the 10 or so minutes we looked at it.
We got a few pictures with a decent point-and-shoot digital camera, but it was through our tent mesh. Source: www.mufon.com
