- 1). Purchase a plastic bottle with a sprayer. You can find one at your local drug store or home goods store. It will most likely be in the health and beauty section.
- 2). Purchase a spray bottle made from biodegradable plastic. This way you are not only helping the environment, but you are also ensuring that your plants will not be subjected to harmful materials.
- 3). Wash the bottle out with dish soap and warm water. Rinse it with well with water.
- 4). Fill up your bottle with water that is room temperature. Very cold water can shock and damage the plants.
- 1). Spray your plants early in the morning. This gives the plants enough time to dry in the sunlight. Plants that are left to dry overnight are more susceptible to diseases and rot.
- 2). Hold the bottle about 6 to 8 inches away from the plant when spraying. Make sure that you hold it in this position so that you do not overwater the plant.
- 3). Spray the mist onto your plant, moving around it as you go. Make sure that the mist envelopes the plant like a cloud.
- 4). Turn the plant around, if needed, to make sure that you get the entire plant. Look at all the leaves. You should see water droplets settled on each leaf.
