- 1). Gather together flowers featuring a 2- or 3-inch section of stem below each blossom.
- 2). Make a ¼-inch or smaller slit all the way through the stem about ½ inch up from the bottom with your thumbnail or the point of a plastic knife.
- 3). Thread the stem of a second blossom carefully through the slit in the stem of the first flower until the second flower rests against the slit.
- 4). Make a slit in the second stem as you did with the first.
- 5). Thread a third flower through the slit in the second stem just as you did with the first two flowers.
- 6). Continue making slits and threading flowers through them until your chain is as long as you want it to be.
- 7). Finish the chain by making a slit in the last stem that is large enough to fit a flower head through, then carefully pushing the head of the first flower in your chain through it to fasten the ends together.
- 8). Drape your flower chain over your neck or around your head and take a barefoot stroll in the grass.
