- 1). Decide on the size and location of the fountain. The fountain pump will need to be plugged in so be sure to locate near a GFCI outlet.
- 2). Level the area where the fountain will be placed with sand, stone or soil. If the fountain is more than 25 pounds, you may need to build a base for the fountain.
- 3). Assemble the fountain according to manufacturer's instructions.
- 4). Fill water reservoir to the intended level.
- 5). Connect fountain pump to the power source and turn on. The pump should start circulating the water. Check for any leaks.
- 6). Hide the power cords for a more streamlined look by digging a small, shallow trench. This will give your fountain a professional look.
