Starting with the highest level roof, use a stiff-bristled broom to brush away individual clumps of green moss and any other accumulations of debris on the roof. Always brush from the top of the shingle to the bottom to avoid damaging or breaking the seal of the shingle. Repeat this process for all other roof sections. - 2). Mix 12 oz. of oxygen bleach powder into two gallons of water. Stir until the powder is completely dissolved. Pour the mixed solution into the two gallon pump sprayer reservoir.
- 3). Starting at the higher level roof, spay solution over the entire roof area until all shingles are coated in the solution. Repeat this process for any remaining roofs, and allow the solution to remain on the surface for 35 to 40 minutes.
- 4). Scrub the solution-covered shingles with the stiff-bristled broom.
- 5). Rinse solution from the shingles using the water hose with the nozzle set to a concentrated spray level.
- 6). Allow the shingles to dry, and then inspect them for any remaining stains. If initial mildew accumulation is heavy, it may be necessary to repeat the process.
