Writing Exercises For Writers

Writing exercises for writers [http://jasonlittlewriting.blogspot.com] are important so that you can get your blood pumping which, believe it or not, will actually improve your writing. Getting exercise is very important so that you don't end up with bone and joint troubles later on. Even though it is a very slow process, little changes end up making huge differences.

Before long your muscles and bones begin to hurt. The reason is because you spend too many hours in front of the computer without getting up to move around.

Time to Rest

It's best to always get up every couple of hours or so. You can do every two hours, if you can stand to get up that many times. It won't take a lot to get yourself going.

You are not training for a triathlon or anything. All it takes is a little fresh air out doors. You can take a stroll around your neighborhood, or you can just walk to the mailbox. You will soon understand how good it can feel to get some sun every once in a while.

This will make you feel fresh and you will be able to go back to your writing with a clear head.

Exhaustion

It's common for the words to slow down for us when we've been working for a long time at one sitting. Or maybe your fingers stumble on the keyboard a few times when you are usually a very good typist. When this happens, you are usually overtired and you need to wake up. Your eyes begin to get tired, your brain becomes foggy and your concentration goes right out the window.

Feeling this way means you're in bad need of some movement. It's not necessary to go out in your yard, because you can do all the exercising you want right in your office.

The Exercises

What body parts are most used in writing? Typically we use our brains, fingers, hands and even our butts. That's what you sit on all day, after all. So get up and start exercising the mind, hands and butts. This will have the benefits of making you more alert, and it will also make your writing better.

You'll want to put your fingers together like you're praying, then flip your hands over and put your arms out straight in front of you. The fingers may go backwards a little bit, but that's alright. While in this stretch, try to elongate your back and bow your head, very gently stretching your neck. With your arms out in front of you, bring them in again and repeat over and over.

You'll want to slowly massage your fingers one at a time. Now rub your hands, wrists and even forearms. Don't be too rough or you could end up doing more harm than good.

Now get ready to do some exercising. While in the pushup position, (you can use your knees. Again, this isn't training for anything.) do as many pushups as you can. Do some squat thrusts next as soon as you're done. Next, do situps or crunches. Do all three moves for as many times as you can. Weights are not necessary and aren't recommended. This will just get your blood pumping. It shouldn't take long doing those three moves before you start to feel awake.

It will typically take a couple times for you to really feel it. The fitter you are, the more you will be able to do. Now start writing again and see how getting your heart beating can really help your career. Writing exercises for writers will not only improve your words, but you will probably lose some of those stubborn pounds in the process.
