Here are some simply delicious homemade chocolate cake recipes that you can make in no time.
1.
Simple chocolate cake recipe On your shopping list: - Shortening - 155 grams - Sugar - 300 grams - Eggs - 2 - Milk - 125 ml - Cocoa powder - 6 tablespoons - Baking soda - 10 mg - Baking powder - 10 mg - White flour - 250 grams - Vanilla essence - 5 mg - Boiling water - 250 ml Preparation: - Break the eggs in a bowl and whisk them until fluffy.
- Add the sugar and shortening and whisk some more to dissolve the sugar.
- Add milk and vanilla essence and mix well.
- Now add the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, baking soda and cocoa powder) to the wet ingredients and mix well.
- Add the boiling water to the mix and fold lightly.
- Pour the batter in a greased 9-inch pan.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350F for 35 minutes, until the top is firm and the cake is springy to touch.
- Remove and cool on a wire rack before serving.
Serve this cake with warm chocolate sauce on the side and enjoy as a wonderful dessert.

Chocolate coffee cake On your shopping list: - Flour - 250 grams - Sugar - 300 grams - Cocoa powder - 6 tablespoons - Baking powder - 10 mg - Baking soda - 10 mg - Vanilla essence - 10 ml - Brewed cold coffee - 270 ml - Mayonnaise - 600 grams Preparation: - Preheat the oven to 350F.
- In a deep bowl, mix the mayonnaise with the sugar.
Use an electric blender to whip the mix so that the sugar and mayo form a thick mix.
- Add the cold coffee and whisk some more.
- Mix in the vanilla essence.
- In a dry bowl, mix the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder and baking soda.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and blend the mix well so that there are no lumps remaining and you get a thick mixture of dropping consistency.
- Grease a 9-inch baking pan and pour the cake batter in the pan.
- Bake the cake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes.
- Cool before cutting in slices to serve.
This cake is perfect for serving at a tea party.
