- 1). Place 2 cups of sugar in a mixing bowl and shape it into a hill with a small hole in the top. Add 4 tsp. water. Knead the water into the sugar by hand until the mixture is free of lumps and clumps and feels like sand.
- 2). Pack the sugar in the mold tight. Use a spatula to scrape off the excess sugar from the top of the mold. Do not allow the sugar to sit in the mold.
- 3). Set cardboard over the mold. Lift the mold with the sugar inside while flipping it upside down. Lift the mold off of the sugar. Let the molded sugar dry by either letting it sit for five hours or placing it into a 200-degree oven for five to 10 minutes on a cookie sheet.
