How to Create a Party Flyer

    Microsoft Word

    • 1). Open Microsoft Word. Create a new document and name it "Party Flyer."

    • 2). Select "File," then the "Portrait" layout under "Page Setup."

    • 3). Select a theme for your flyer. For example, if you want to throw a Wild West Party, you might choose cowboy boot graphics and lasso borders. Find graphics by clicking "Insert." Select "Picture" from the drop-down menu.

    • 4). Add a text box to the top of the page. Click "Insert," select "Text Box," then click and drag to create your box. Choose a font that is large and easy to read. Type the name of your party or the theme of the party in the box.

    • 5). Add a picture of yourself, your friends, or some appropriate clip art to the page. Do this by clicking "Insert," then select "Picture" and "From File." Search through the directory to locate the photograph you want.

    • 6). Add a text box under the picture in the left column of the page. In this box, type the date and time of your party. Do this by moving the cursor into the text box, then typing your information. Use a font that is easy to read.

    • 7). Add a text box under the picture in the right hand column of the page. In this box, type the location and your name using easy to read fonts.
