The Best Cake Pans to Use

Only fill cake pans half way so that the cake has room to rise.
This is a very common thing when baking a cake.
If the pan is too big, the cake will come out flat, dry and dull, and if it's too small, a cake that's bulging with run downs over the sides will come into view.
If you use ordinary pans and the cake will stick to the surface, this can make a very sloppy baked good.
Some recipes also specify the type of pan you should use.
For these reasons, different types of cake pans were designed to help bakers bake cakes more easily.
Generally, the best cake pans widely used are the traditional shiny aluminum or dark, non-stick metals.
Shiny and light-colored pans have been proven to distribute heat at the best during baking while also reflecting the same heat away from the cake resulting in a moist interior and a light-colored, crisp crust.
Most recipes use this type of cake pan.
The dark-colored pans or the non-stick type absorb heat much more than normal rendering cakes with a darker crust.
When using dark non-stick cakepans, the general requirement for its baking temperature must be lowered by 25oF.
Some bakers opt for a glass cake pan to steer clear of the chemicals that are present in a non-stick surface.
Glass baking pans do not absorb heat willingly as metal, and as in the case of dark metal cake pans, it is also advisable to lower the required baking temperature by 25oF when using glass pans to prevent over-baking the cake.
For quick cakes and brownies in your microwave, there is the 5-minute pan with vented lid controls that release steam to make sure the baked goods are moist the whole baking time.
These minute microwave brownie and cake pans are becoming trendy along with the popularity of brownies as quick and easy bite-sized cakes.
Clay has also been used for hundreds of years as an excellent bakeware, and with the new clay terracotta bakers, you can bake cakes with a crusty outside layer.
Since cake is soft and spongy, make sure to bake it at the exact temperature and time listed in the recipe.
Different types of cake pans are made from different materials which affect heat absorption and retention.
Regardless of what material you choose for your cakepan, the best cakes are achieved with the right baking time that accommodates for the type of material the cake pan is made from.
