How to Get Mail in Rebates

    • 1). Search for deals with mail in rebates for the product you want to purchase. These rebates are offered for a certain period only. So, research and do the purchase while the rebate is valid.

Don't forget to collect all rebate forms at the counter when you do a in-store purchase. Without the specific mail in rebate form you cannot redeem these rebates.

    • 3). Download rebate forms when you buy online. The forms may not be available online after a certain date. Make sure you get the rebate form when you make the purchase online.

    • 4). Ensure that you have the right rebate forms. There could be different mail in rebate forms for different but similar kind of products ( example: mp3 players of different capacity). Match the product number or the UPC code to verify the rebate form.

Fill in the rebate form accurately. Any mistake in the form could result in mail in rebate denial. While mailing, include all the things asked in the rebate form. Generally you need the rebate form, purchase receipt and original UPC bar code from the product. Check the rebate form to see the list of things specific to your mail in rebate.

    • 6). Mail the rebate BEFORE the deadline. Every rebate has a postmark date in the rebate form. You must mail it before that date or your rebate will be denied.

    • 7). Keep a copy of everything you mailed. You may need them for any followup.

    • 8). Keep track of the mail in rebates you have submitted. Wait for number of weeks mentioned in the rebate form ( normally up to 12 weeks). You will receive a rebate check once it is processed. If you did not receive the rebate , call the rebate processing company. Contact information is printed in the rebate form.

Once you receive the check, deposit it without delay. Some checks have a short life time of 30-60 days. You would want to deposit it before it expires!
