- 1). Open iTunes on your computer. If you do not have iTunes, download a free copy for Mac or Windows from Apple's website.
- 2). Insert an audio CD into your computer's CD-ROM drive.
- 3). Click the "Yes" button when iTunes asks if you want to import the CD. Check the "Do Not Ask Me Again" box if you want iTunes to automatically import audio CDs in the future. If you do not receive a prompt from iTunes, click the "Import" button that appears in the top-right corner of the iTunes application when you insert an audio CD.
- 4). Locate your album in your iTunes library. Depending on your view settings for iTunes, you may have a list of the songs or an icon for the album.
- 5). Choose "Advanced" from the top menu bar in iTunes and then choose "Get CD Track Names" if iTunes did not automatically recognize your CD when you imported. You can only use the "Get CD Track Names" feature with audio files imported from a CD.
- 6). Select "Advanced" from the top menu bar and then select "Get Album Artwork" to add artwork to your imported album.
- 7). Click the "Eject" icon next to your CD's icon in the left column of the iTunes application window to eject your CD when you have finished.
- 8). Connect your iPod to your computer using a USB cord. If you use the automatic updating feature, sync your iPod to add new music from your iTunes library on your computer. If you use the manual updating feature, drag the album icon and drop it into your iPod's music library.
