- Several member colleges of The City University of New York are HACU members, including Borough of Manhattan Community College and Bronx Community College. The New England states are well represented in the HACU by institutions such as Connecticut's Capital Community College, Cambridge College in Massachussetts and Rhode Island College.
- Pennsylvania's Esperanza College believes Latin-Americans should use their dual heritage to their advantage. Dean Dr. Elizabeth Conde-Frazier states on the school's homepage, "A successful person in today's global economy is a bicultural and bilingual person."
Other HACU members in the eastern U.S. include Community College of Philadelphia, which offers more than 70 programs; Cuyahoga Community College District in Ohio; and Regent University in Virginia Beach, which specializes in equipping Christian leaders of the future. - In Texas alone, there are 66 HACU members. Among them are Abilene Christian University, Palo Alto College, several University of Texas campuses, Rice University and Southwestern University. There are 16 HACU members in Florida, including Florida International University, Palm Beach State College and University of Central Florida. Georgia College & State University, a liberal arts university offering majors such as Spanish, liberal studies, rhetoric and theatre, allows options to navigate its website in English or Spanish.
- The American West is a hotbed of HACU members. In California, there are no less than 105 such institutions, including many University of California and California State University sites; University of San Diego; Taft College; and National Hispanic University, which concentrates on giving Hispanics, other minorities and women a multicultural academic experience.
Other HACU members in the West include Community College of Denver, several New Mexico State University campuses, College of Southern Nevada, the relatively new College of Western Idaho in Nampa, the University of Montana, Missoula and Washington's Heritage University in Toppenish.
