How to Make Your Own Invitations for Girls

    Princess Scroll

    • The princess party is a popular theme. Create a scroll to use as an invitation for your little princess' royal affair. Use cream colored parchment paper. Either print the invitation on your computer using a fancy font, or, if you know how to do calligraphy, write the party information using calligraphy pens. Burn the edges to create an aged look. Dust with sparkle and roll. Seal with a wax seal or a gold cord and hand deliver the invitations.

    Red Carpet Card Invitation

    • Little divas often want a Hollywood star party, and you can recreate one with a Hollywood themed initiation. Laying a piece of black card stock horizontally, fold the two edges to the middle. Embellish the front to look like double doors that open. Add gold bead door knobs and white crayon "glass" marks (diagonal lines). Write "You're invited" on the front. Paste a piece of red felt to the middle panel of the inside to create a red carpet. Embellish carpet with gold paper stars and write party information on the two remaining inside panels.

    Fairy Party Invitation

    • Fold a piece of white card stock in half to create a fairy. To form the dress, cut a circle out of pink construction paper and a triangle from a color-coordinated paper. Make wings out of white tissue paper ovals. Assemble and glue the fairy onto the front of the card. Add two pieces of embroidery thread with a bead on the end of it to form the arms and hands. Add two slightly longer pieces of thread for the legs and feet. Draw a face and attach yarn hair to the fairy. Dust the exterior of the card with sparkle. Add party details to the inside of the card.

    Mermaid Invitation

    • Mermaids are a popular birthday party theme. Create interesting mermaid-themed party invitations with shells. You can purchase seashells at a craft store. Write the party details in permanent marker on the interior of the shells. Make a bow out of sheer green or blue ribbon, then hot glue the ribbon to the top of the interior of the shell. Lightly brush the exterior of the shell with white or clear craft glue and dust it with clear or iridescent sparkle. Hand deliver invitations to guests.
