  Established in 1904, South Orange, also sometimes called South Orange Township, is a suburban municipality in New Jersey. Being roughly 20 miles from New York City, South Orange is part of greater New York, also known as the Tri-State Area. South Orange is the home of Seton Hall University and adjacent to West Orange, Orange, East Orange and Irving, New Jersey.
