- Located 12 miles to the west of Ochopee, off East Tamiani Trail, the Port of the Island Hotel is only 15 minutes by car or a few hours by boat via several meandering rivers and bayous. A full-service resort, the Port of the Islands features a large pool, skeet and trap ranges, a fitness center and access to a marina. The huge lobby is reminiscent of old Florida resorts and days gone by. Hotel rates vary by season with winter rates being the highest and summer offering the best deals.
