Easy Vegan Meal Plans for Weight Loss

vegan meal plansThe reason I am vegan is for the animals. I do not want to contribute to the horrific suffering they endure on a daily basis and everyone should try and vote with their wallet to stop animal torture. Some people go vegan for health reasons, but for me it was an afterthought. Within a couple of weeks however I was feeling more energetic and clear-headed than before (as a vegetarian). I also felt a lot more at peace with myself and as if I could look at animal without feeling guilty at last.

Once I became vegan I started to do more research into animal rights and became more involved. I also did more research into health. I realised that there are too many misconceptions about vegans and I wanted to prove them wrong by being a healthy weight and full of energy. However whilst you can be a super healthy vegan, you can also be a junk food vegan eating lots of dark chocolate, crisps and cakes. Whilst there was no way I was going to give up my yummy vegan cup cakes I did want to be healthier, which is why I began looking into easy vegan meal plans that could help me ensure I was getting all the nutrients I needed and extra energy in the process.

After a bit of research I found something that seemed suitable. It was very easy to follow with each day planned out for me. The ingredients were fairly easy to find in the supermarket and cheap, but a couple of items I replaced with healthy and easier to find alternatives.

The first couple of days I followed the plan I felt a bit edgy and like I needed extra sugar and fizzy drinks. I was a bit grumpy and perhaps not as prepared as I should have been, but on day 3 I felt lighter and my head was clearer. I also prepared my meals in advance, so I was never caught out feeling ravenous. By the end of the first weeks vegan meal plans I felt great. My meat eating friends even commented on my glowing skin and asked if I had lost weight.

That was a great opener for me to have a chat about going veg. The more I follow the plan, the easier it becomes. The recipes may be easy, but it still feels like an accomplishment when I cook something yummy and healthy. Don't worry I am still having the odd vegan cup cake. I don't want to deprive myself.

I would reccommend other vegans follow a healthy and easy meal plan to help them maintain an ideal weight or lose weight and provide them with loads of energy.

The best vegan meal plan I have found is Easy Veggie Meal Plans. It is the best thing for vegans or vegetarians looking to lose weight. Some meals have a vegetarian option, but it is mainly laid out for vegans, which is nice for a change.
