- 1). Tear pieces of masking tape off the roll and make cylinders by taping the ends to one another. You can also use double-sided tape.
- 2). Attach a masking tape cylinder or a piece of double-sided tape to each of the four corners of the banner. Attach pieces of tape in the middle and along the sides of the banner. The more tape you use, the more secure the banner will be when hanging on the wall.
- 3). Face the front of the banner toward you and position one of the edges of the banner where you want it on the wall. Press the back of it onto the wall surface to make the tape stick to it.
- 4). Smooth out the banner as you stick the taped side to the wall until the entire banner is adhered to the surface. Smooth your hand gently over the paper banner to make sure it's secure on the wall.
- 1). Place the banner face-down. Place a wooden dowel at the top edge of the vertical banner. Roll the edge of the banner paper over to cover the dowel. Pull a little extra paper so that you can tape the edge and secure it so the dowel will stay in place. Make sure there's no slack in the area between the paper and the dowel. Repeat on the bottom of the banner with the second dowel.
- 2). Cut a piece of yarn or string and tie each end to one end of the top dowel. This will be your hanger.
- 3). Hang the vertical banner from a nail or a push pin inserted in the wall. The weight of the bottom dowel will help keep the banner against the wall.
