Different Methods of Applying Hair Extensions

We use different techniques for applying hair extensions based on different factors.
The first technique is called Cornrows, braids, locks or twists.
Here that hair extension is integrated in a visible way that the braided attachments can be seen.
But it will be blended into the hair style.
The other technique is called weaves, and here we use tiny braids for holding hair extensions against the scalp.
There is a concern regarding this technique such that it will apply uneven weight or tension to the natural hair on which these extensions are applied.
This problem arises when swimming or washing the hair.
These will cause loosening the weave and also apply force on the natural hair and may break it.
Sometimes it will be difficult to dry the hair beneath the braids.
And because of this some people will stop washing their hair as often.
There is another technique called bonding in which there will be latex plug that will be attached to the normal hair for short-term use.
It is an inexpensive and fast method.
For removing these extensions, heat and oil are used that will dissolve the bonding agent.
Thus the removal of these extensions is a time-consuming and messy task.
The use of metal tube that is clamped over the real hair for attaching the extension hair is called metal tubing.
In some cases it will cause the break off of real hair.
And will cause additional weight to the normal hair.
For fine hair, this technique is not recommended by experts.
Heat-Shrink Tubing is another method that will not harm the normal hair.
But in this technique there won't be an adhesive for holding power needed for extended wear.
After two of three washings, the tubes that are used in this technique can lose and may release strands.
This may cause even more extension hair falling off.
Adhesive-based fusion is one of the best techniques.
Here the type of adhesive used is critical.
Normally the wax-based adhesive is used that may have a low melting point and thus a professional help is recommend.
For removing these hair extensions, an adhesive remover is used that will dry the bonding agent into powdery substance.
