PoeFest
Produced by Arizona Curriculum Theater, PoeFest is a month-long celebration of the works of Edgar Allan Poe. The actors perform the works of Edgar Allan Poe in character as inmates from a 19th Century asylum for the criminally insane. Poe's stories rotate nightly and include The Masque of the Red Death, A Dream Within A Dream, The Sleeper, Spirits of the Dead, The Cask of Amontillado, Annabel Lee, The Raven, The Tell-Tale Heart, Mary Shelley. Children under 13 not permitted without an adult. Tickets $25 General; $20 for Students, Seniors, Military. Dining Among the Dead
Dine by candlelight on the patio of the old pioneer cemetery. After-sunset cemetery walk featuring re-enactors in period dress. Ticket includes: entree (meat or non-meat), dessert, iced tea or lemonade, entertainment, cemetery tour and one raffle ticket. $45.00 per person. This event is by reservation only. Enchanted Trail / Sendero Encantado
Trick-or-treat at the Audubon Center's annual fall festival. Thousands of glow lights transform our nature trail into a magical adventure. See live Arizona animals, encounter costumed characters, make an animal mask and more family fun. Free admission. Open to the public.

Haunted House & Hayride in Ahwatukee
The Ahwatukee Community Swim and Tennis Center’s 13th Annual Haunted House and Hayride includes a special time slot, 6 pm to 7:30 pm, designated as a “less scary” time for all the younger goblins. Concessions will be available. Admission price is $7 for adults and $5 for kids 8 years old and younger. All proceeds benefit youth programs at the Center. Enjoy a haunted hayride through the park and encounters with… well….various creatures of the night. And just as you thought it was safe, more fear awaits you as you are dropped off at the front of the eerie, heart thumping, eye closing, scream-curdling……. haunted house. But don’t worry, all of brave visitors will have a candy treat waiting for them if they successfully escape the house. For any additional information, please call 893-3431 or 893-1942. Friday and Saturday hours are 6 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday hours are 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Macaroni Kid Monster Mash
Shop over 60 vendors, take a bounce in one of the bounce houses, get your face painted from a pro, hang out with Disney characters and superheroes (plus get a few pic taken with them), watch Halloween classics on a blowup TV (don't forget to bring something to sit on), grab a bite to eat from one of the food trucks, and come in costume for table to table Trick-or-Treating (kids 12 and under only), There will be costume contests, raffles, and swag bags for the first 100 families. Halloween at Hogwarts: Featuring the Music of Harry Potter
All muggles and wizards are welcome to attend as the Phoenix Symphony orchestra performs seasonal selections and even more memorable music from the Harry Potter films. Come early dressed as your favorite Hogwarts citizen and enjoy pre-concert activities throughout the hall. Tickets start at $11. It sold out early last year!

Boo at the Zoo
In 2014 this becomes a week-long event. Watch animals throughout the Zoo enjoy the Pumpkin Stomp and Chomp. Scavenger hunt, straw maze, midway. Intended for ages 7 and under. Included with zoo admission.
