Kountry Kennels Pet Resort & Spa is located in Hampshire, Illinois and is accredited with the Pet Care Services Association. Staffed 24 hours a day, it features individual rooms for pets, strict cleanliness standards, controlled temperatures and security for the facilities. Services include boarding, pickup and delivery, grooming and planned activities. Dog suites accommodate one or two dogs and feature a variety of themes such as baseball teams, cartoon characters and NASCAR. Each suite has a child's bed, rugs, flat screen television, bay window, webcam access and automatic watering. Cat accommodations include apartments, condos and hi-rises, each offering comfortable bedding, catnip toys and separate litter areas. Condos and hi-rises include multi-levels and the view of a 650 gallon fish tank. The resort offers free outside play for dogs and for a small fee will provide a 20-minute brushing, petting and hugging session for cats. Small pets such as birds, guinea pigs and rabbits can also be accommodated. The day camp offers full day activities for individual pets or groups. Kountry Kennels is closed for all major holidays.

The Barking Lot features supervised day care, overnight boarding, training, grooming, dog walking, Saturday open play sessions and pet pick-up and drop-off. Webcams are available in each individual kennel for checking on boarded pets. Dogs are given three walks daily, plus four to five hours of supervised play with other dogs in the same age range and similar temperament. Play time may also be observed on webcam. Dogs are fed twice daily and the staff can accommodate any special requirements such as warming the food or administering medication. Daycare includes four to five hours of supervised play with similar size dogs, one individual walk and private resting space. Training options include puppy classes, basic obedience, good citizen, therapy dog and agility using positive reinforcement methods. Private training and behavior consultations are also available. The pet store features chemical free, natural products. The Barking Lot also offers cat boarding.
