- 1). Charge the X3 GPS system. Connect the large end of the power adapter to your vehicle's cigarette lighter. Connect the smaller end of the adapter to the power port, which is located on the right side of the device.
- 2). Turn your vehicle's ignition to the "On" position if your car is not already running. Allow the device to charge for a minimum of 3.5 hours.
- 3). Press and hold the "Power" button for two seconds to see if the device powers on. This will place the device in "standby" mode. Tap the touch screen to "wake up" the device. From here, select "Navigator," "Music," "Photos" or "Setup."
- 4). Turn the device over, if it will not power on, or if it otherwise will not function properly. Press the "Reset" button. This will reset the entire system. If you have a SD (storage) card installed, no data will be erased from the card.
