Differs from ZIP

• ALZ files are different from ZIP files. Unlike ALZ, ZIP files do have a size limit.
  
  

Size

• Without any size constraints ALZ allows for storage intensive files. This would include large backup files of extensive video files.
  
  

Opens Multiple Formats

• It will open files from up to 36 different formats. This includes CDs containing images, such as digital photographs.
  
  

Archive Formats

• Besides its own format, ALZ has the ability to save archives in eight other archive formats. This also includes ZIP.
  
  

Passwords

• In ALZ, password recovery is also not an issue. It has a built-in password recovery tool called "ALZip."
