- 1). Open the hood and unhook the negative battery cable (--) before beginning. This prevents an accidental short circuit which could lead to electric shock.
- 2). Open the ashtray compartment. Push in the inner ashtray clip to release the ashtray then remove it from the console.
- 3). Remove the two Phillips head screws behind the ashtray.
- 4). Grasp the dash panel surrounding the radio. Pull it sharply to unclip it from the dash. Unplug the emergency light switch from behind the panel then set the panel aside.
- 5). Remove the four Phillips head screws surrounding the radio. Pull the stereo out of its mount and unplug the antenna cable and wiring harness.
