Hydroponics is the term used for plants. Plants can be grown using this technique under fully controlled environments without any need for the climatic situations. Vegetables, fruits and many more things can be grown using watering methods. This method was started in 1962 and proved to be very helpful as it does not need any knowledge as the plants grown in the soil needs. They can be grown with controlled nutrition levels in the water, watery plants are advantageous as the pests and diseases in them can themselves be ridden with the water which cannot be done in case of soily plants. They provide us with very solid and high quality yields.

Hydroponics plants can be grown with various hydroponic equipments. Solution culture and medium culture techniques are used in growing plants, irrigation procedure is the main thing needed to grow the plants. Various hydroponics equipment used are built of plastic, other equipments can be made of concrete, glass and wood is also used. Plants can also be grown in solutions using various types of containers, such as buckets, tubs, or tanks. A proper nutrient solution is made inside the containers. Water level is kept according to the root of the plans so that they can get sufficient oxygen inside the containers. Plants can also be grown in the glass jars, their size varies according to the plant, if the size of the plant is large the containers that are used should also be large.

Then their upper part is covered with the aluminium foil or anything else such that they do not die because of the outside environment which is not suitable for them. Aquarium pumps are used to give them sufficient oxygen. Many plants are also grown in flowing water. They are dipped in water and water recycles itself. That water is again used for growing other plants. The advantage of this procedure is that it the water can be reused and the most interesting point is that impure water is used for the growth of plants, plants do not grow in distilled water. There are large tanks which can support large number of plants easily.

The water dissolved in the tanks is with the sufficient nutrients and is recycled after giving nutrition to the plants. Before growing plants in water there is a little conflict regarding the water supply, though it is not the major problem as is found in soils but still the issue is easily rectified by the agriculturalists which results in the healthy growth of plants with a very high quality breed. So in this way there are many more productive techniques in hydroponics method.
