- 1). Sit in the driver's seat of your vehicle and turn the ignition to the "Run" position. Be sure not to turn your vehicle's engine on. The seat belt chime will sound after 1 minute and the safety light will illuminate.
- 2). Buckle and unbuckle the driver's seat belt 9 times within 50 seconds after the safety belt light has turned off. The air bag light will illuminate on your dashboard.
- 3). Buckle and unbuckle the driver's seat belt 1 time within 10 seconds of the air bag light illuminating. The restraining system warning light will flash 4 times per second for 3 seconds to confirm that the Belt-Minder has been disabled for that seat belt. Repeat for any other seat belts.
