- 1). Click on the "Start" menu and highlight "Programs" or "All Programs."
- 2). Highlight the "Startup" program group.
- 3). Right-click on a program and click "Delete" from the context menu. This prevents the program from starting every time you start or restart your computer.
- 4). Repeat the previous step for each program that you want to remove from the Startup program group.
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu and select the "Run" option.
- 2). Type "msconfig" into the field, and then click the "OK" button.
- 3). Select the "Startup" tab and uncheck a startup item to prevent it from running when Windows starts.
- 4). Click the "Apply" button to save the changes, and then click the "OK" button to close the window.
