- 1). Press "Ctrl" "Shift" and "Esc" to open the Task Manager window.
- 2). Click the "Processes" tab and scroll to the name of your security software. Click the "End Process" button to stop the software from running.
- 3). Click "Start," "Control Panel," then click the "Programs and Features" link to open a list of software programs on your computer.
- 4). Click the file name of the security software in the window that appears, and click "Uninstall." Click "Yes" in the prompt that appears to disable the security software and remove it from your computer.
- 5). Restart your computer once the uninstall is complete to permanently disable the software, and remove the files from your hard drive.
