- 1). Shop eBay or similar discount sites for a plain hard shell eyeglass case. White and lighter-colored cases work best for multicolored decorations.
- 2). Visit the scrapbook section of your local craft store for flat-back rhinestones and embellishments. Also buy a glue with good hold. E-6000 and other epoxy or cement-based glues work best.
- 3). Clean the surface of the hard shell case with soap and water or a mild detergent. If you think water may ruin the material on your case, wipe it down with a paper towel and no soap. A clean surface will ensure the rhinestones and embellishments adhere properly.
- 4). Set up a work area with your eyeglass case, rhinestones, embellishments, glue, tweezers and toothpick. You can use a light-colored pencil to sketch a design on the case if you are using more than one color of rhinestones or embellishments. Lay the larger embellishments down on the eyeglass case first, then fill in the other areas with rhinestones before gluing.
- 5). Apply the glue to the rhinestones and embellishments using a toothpick. It is easiest to hold the decorations in your nondominant hand while applying the glue with your dominant hand. Attach the rhinestones and embellishments with the tweezers using very little pressure.
- 6). Brush your hands over the entire surface of the hard shell eyeglass case once the glue is dry. If any rhinestones or embellishments are loose, remove and reapply using a small amount of glue.
