- Use the number 10 for all your decorations. Putting balloons on each end of the cake table? Put 10 balloons in each group. Putting candles on the tables as a centerpiece? Scatter 10 different candles of all sizes in the center of the table.
- Encourage each person to go around and try to remember 10 things about 10 people who graduated with them. Have the alumni wear name badges of a different color from spouses and guests to help identify your fellow graduates. Even better, write their name on the tag 10 times.
- Instead of a traditional cake, consider creating a tier of cupcakes. You could either use a 10-tier stacking tray (available through a local bakery) or you could arrange several smaller tiers with 10 cupcakes on each level. You can decide how elaborate of a setup you want based on how many people plan to attend.
- Order an ice sculpture or two shaped like the number 10. Another alternative is to have one shaped like the numbers and another in the letters T-E-N, spelling out the word version of the number.
- You can even carry the 10 theme into your food. Serve 10 types of pasta, such as lasagna, spaghetti, vegetable lasagna, fettuccine, etc. You might also want to offer 10 types of bread, 10 different beverages and 10 types of salad dressings. The only limits are your imagination and budget.
