- 1). Prepare a well-ventilated workspace before using the adhesive solvent. Opening the windows in the room will help you avoid inhaling hazardous fumes.
- 2). Use a 1-2 gallon bucket to pour hot water over the affected areas of the ceramic tile floor. Allow it to soak the adhesive for at least 10 minutes to soften the residue for easier removal.
- 3). Carefully read the directions on the product label in order to properly apply the solvent. After applying wait the instructed time frame for the adhesive to loosen the targeted substance.
- 4). Scrape the adhesive with the scraper blade while applying moderate pressure. Add more adhesive if certain areas cannot be lifted as easily.
- 5). Sweep the floor completely of any loose glue. Use a mild detergent to clean the ceramic tile floor for a thorough removal.
