- 1). Unplug the refrigerator from the wall outlet prior to beginning to remove the rear wall.
- 2). Remove all of the contents of the freezer compartment, including the freezer shelving.
- 3). Remove the lower rear cover, which runs horizontal across the bottom of the rear wall. To remove the cover, remove the two screws securing it to the rear wall, then pull the cover away from the rear wall.
- 4). Slide the air duct up and pull it away from the rear wall to remove.
- 5). Remove the screws securing the rear panel of the freezer, then pull the rear panel away from the rear of the freezer and remove.
